A FIELD DAY WITH BAYER LLC WAS HELD AT THE DEMO FIELDS OF THE AGRONOMYCHNE NDG IN VNAU

On June 13, 2024, a Field Day was held at the demo fields of the Scientific Research Farm "Agronomichne" of Vinnytsia National Agrarian University together with "Bayer" LLC, which was attended by representatives of more than 50 agricultural enterprises of Vinnytsia region, scientists, and graduate students.

Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of the NAASU, President of the University Hryhoriy KALETNIK addressed the guests and participants of the event with a welcoming speech, noting that the Scientific Research Farm "Agronomichne" of VNAU cooperates with leading international and domestic companies, together with which experiments and studies aimed at studying new hybrids of agricultural crops, as well as new biological preparations, are constantly being conducted at the farm's demo fields. Over the past five years, the Scientific Research Farm "Agronomichne" of VNAU has been conducting experiments with the company "Bayer" LLC and jointly conducting Field Days. 2024 became the most productive and large-scale year in our cooperation - 92 experimental plots for corn hybrids, 5 experimental plots for sunflower hybrids and 9 plots of winter rapeseed were laid, with a total area of over 15 hectares. Hryhoriy Mykolayovych noted the highly effective and responsible activities of the director of the Agronomic Research Group of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Viktor YEMCHYK and the highly professional team of the farm he formed. He thanked for the cooperation and expressed his wishes for success to Vadym VOLYNTS - the head of Bayer LLC and the company he heads as a whole. Thanks to scientific cooperation with producers of seeds, biological products, conducting joint research on the basis of the Agronomic Research Group of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and obtaining the best results in Central Ukraine, our farm has established itself as a reliable partner who is able to perform and lay experiments of varying complexity, provide professional support and show excellent results. Over the past three years, despite the war, there has been a major upgrade of the farm's equipment and devices for a total amount of over UAH 30 million, and we continue to modernize production, introduce innovative technologies and modern equipment.

Vice-Rector for Scientific, Pedagogical, Scientific and Innovative Activities of VNAU, Doctor of Economics, Professor Inna Honcharuk noted that in 2024, scientists of Vinnytsia National Agrarian University conducted a competitive selection and on the basis of the farm, 8 applied research and development projects were carried out at the expense of the general fund of the state budget, financed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The head of the Central region of Bayer LLC, Vadym VOLYNETS, addressed the visitors of the Field Day, thanking the university for cooperation and the farm for the fact that joint efforts have enabled them to achieve such significant results. He invited visitors to inspect the demonstration plots of the DEKALB brand winter rape hybrid line; to get acquainted with the cultivation technology and winter rape protection system from Bayer Company, announced a number of new products and expressed his desire for rape to become not only an export-oriented agricultural crop, but also to create added value in Ukraine. 

The President of the University, Hryhoriy KALETNIK, and the Rector, Viktor MAZUR, emphasized that we set ourselves an ambitious goal – to become a full-fledged agricultural arena, where every farmer will be able to adopt advanced experience and get acquainted with new technologies of cultivation, cultivation, planting material and means of protection.
