The history of the Faculty dates back to 1982.

Nowadays, scientific researches at the Faculty are carried out in accordance with the priority directions of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine development, ongoing and prospective planning of scientific researches and introduction of scientific developments in agricultural production and educational process is constantly being performed.

In its activity the faculty staff strives for high quality training of specialists, which would meet the European standards, so the graduates of the Faculty find themselves in the labor market and successfully realize themselves in the field of production and processing of livestock products.

Today more than 100 graduates of the Faculty work at the enterprises of Vinnytsia region, most of which hold positions of heads of farms, chief zootechnician and technologists of enterprises for processing livestock products.

The stuffing requirements of the educational process at the Faculty ofTechnology of Livestock Products Production and Processing are carried out by effective use of the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Faculty, organization of its preparation, improvement of qualification and creation of the necessary reserve of personnel, involvement of highly qualified specialists of educational methodology and famous researchers.

Raising the quality of educational work is also facilitated by the systematic exchange of scientific and pedagogical staff with partner universities from Ukraine and foreign countries, which is guaranteed by the signing of cooperation agreements with them.

The Faculty of Technology of Livestock Products Production and Processing trains bachelors and masters in such specialties as:

  • “Technology of Livestock Products Production and Processing with a professional program "Organization of customs control of livestock products”;
  • “Food Technology and Engineering”,
  • “Water Bioresources and Aquaculture”,
  • “Veterinary Hygiene, Sanitation and Expertise”.

Today more than 100 graduates of the faculty work at the enterprises of Vinnytsia region, most of which hold positions of heads of farms, chief zootechnicians and technologists of enterprises for processing livestock products.

Most leading agricultural enterprises of Ukraine are headed by our graduates.

In their list of directors: PSP AF "Batkivshchyna" t. s. Stryzhavka, Vinnytsia region V. Bezpalko; the branch of "Peredovik" of PJSC "Podillya" PJSC v. Dovzhok of Yampil region is M. Vdovtsov; SVK "Svitanok" v. Vovchok of Nemyriv region, F. Sinenky; SVAT “Ilyinetsk Breeding Factory” - I. Sirovatko; “Vidrodzhennia” LLS v. Tsekinivka of the Yampilsky region – V. Litskyi etc.

The chief technologist at the dairy plant of Lustdorf LLC is L. Polishchuk, at the Nemyriv dairy plant –L. Kotyk , the technologist of the Vapnyar branch of LLC "Inter food" – V. Dyakova , the head of the downhole and refrigeration department of LLC "Kovbaskoff" – S. Shevchuk; the technologist of the plant "Technology of spices" in Simferopol – A.Yurchenko; laboratory assistant at the Tulchin branch of Inter Food LLC – N. Voloshchuk; laboratory assistant of OJSC “Litinsk Dairy Factory” – A. Kiporuk; master of sausages processing plant LLC "Kovinko-sausages" - M. Fagunyk.

A number of alumni have found their work at the branch of the Processing Complex of the Vinnytsia Poultry Factory LLC in Ladyzhyn. This is the head of the section O. Kobylchenko; masters of production S. Glovatska, O. Glovatskyi,V. Zabiychenko.

The faculty is proud of its graduates, who occupy leading positions in other spheres of human activity: the director of the company "Jasko" on wholesale and retail trade in petroleum products (gas station network), the Deputy of Vinnytsia city council Yu. Skoromny; Deputy Head of Kalyniv Region State Administration, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences O. Polishchuk; the chairman of the village council Klekotyn of Shargorod region - V. Nemirovsky; the chairman of the village council Muraf of Shargorod region – M. Sviatyi; the director of the firm "Selection-service" M. Levandovskyi etc.

From 2011 to 2012, the Faculty ofTechnology of Livestock Products Production and Processing was headed by Roman Chudak, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor. In 2013 Oksana Skoromna, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor was elected as a dean of the faculty. The stuffing requirements of the educational process at the Faculty ofTechnology of Livestock Products Production and Processing are carried out by effective use of the scientific and pedagogical staff of the faculty, organization of its preparation, improvement of qualification and creation of the necessary reserve of personnel, involvement of highly qualified specialists of educational methodology and famous researchers.

The educational process at the Faculty is provided by full-time scientific and pedagogical stuff and those who work part-time. Five departments of the Faculty are headed by doctors of sciences, professors, candidates of sciences and associate professors.

The level of teaching staff of the Faculty having a scientific degree is 71.4%, among them12% are doctors of sciences. The scientific and pedagogical staff of the faculty corresponds to the profile and direction of the disciplines they are responsible for. They have many years of specialized and practical experience. The number of full-time employees meets the requirements.

The total number of staff of the departments is 67. At the graduating departments all teachers have basic education, the necessary experience of practical and scientific and methodical work. They are constantly working to improve their skills.

The strategy of the personnel development of the Faculty of TLPP&P envisages creation of the necessary staff reserve and building up of the necessary personnel potential and its solution is provided in the following ways:

  • training and skills development of scientific and pedagogical staff for the purpose of professional growth; - involvement of highly qualified teachers and scholars at the faculty;
  • training their own scientific and pedagogical staff through postgraduate and doctoral studies.

In order to increase the professional level and realize the scientific and pedagogical potential of graduate students, a postgraduate course has been opened at the Faculty.

Candidates of Sciences graduate from the postgraduate studies such specialties as:

  • 06.02.02 - Animal Feeding and Feed Technology;
  • 06.02.04 - Livestock Production Technology;
  • 16.00.06 - Animal hygiene and veterinary sanitation.

Postgraduate and doctoral studies create the possibility of replenishing the faculty and other universities with graduates and specialists-producers who have appropriate basic education.

The material and technical base of the Faculty is formed in the direction of creation of modern conditions for successful study of students, undergraduates and graduate students, carrying out scientific work, development of creative activity and raising the qualification level of the teaching staff.
