The Faculty trains specialists of the “Bachelor” educational degree in 6 specialties: "Agronomy", "Gardening and Viticulture", "Protection and Quarantine of Plants", "Forestry", "Landscape Gardening", "Ecology", as well as of “Master” degree in 4 specialties: "Agronomy", "Gardening and Viticulture", "Ecology", "Landscape Gardening".
The Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry is one of the flagships of the educational, scientific, methodological and educational activity of Vinnytsia National Agrarian University.
55 lecturers provide the educational process, 60% of them are the graduates of the faculty. More than 1.500 young people are being trained at the Faculty, among them - almost 900 full-time and over 600 part-time students.
In 2017, a new specialty "Protection and Quarantine of Plants" was opened. After graduation from the University, students have the opportunity to enter the Postgraduate department and work at the University.
A scientific metric agrochemical laboratory, Botanical Garden "Podillya", Research field, Research farm "Agronomichne" function on the base of the Faculty, where students and postgraduates conduct laboratory research and acquire practical skills.
The Agronomic Faculty has its own bases for the industrial training of students: the research institutions of the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Educational Consortium, namely the Uladovo-Liulyntsi Research and Breeding Station, Yaltushkiv Research and Breeding Station, advanced agricultural enterprises that use modern technologies of crop growing:
“Bohonytske” State Research Enterprise, “Zetto” Private Enterprise, “Dary Velesa” Private Enterprise, “Verbka” Agricultural Firm, Limited Liability Company “AgranaFruit Luka”, “Artemida” Podillia Gardening Research Station, Private and Lease agricultural enterprise "Radivske" and others. In addition, each department has its branch at manufacturing enterprises.
The Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry has concluded International Treaties and Programs with the Poznan University of Natural Sciences, Warsaw Agricultural Academy (Poland), Fuzhou Agricultural University (China). Every year, about 200 students of the Faculty who speak foreign languages are trained in the EU countries (Poland, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, etc.), as well as in the United States of America.
At the Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry, scientists have the opportunity to publish the results of their research quarterly in the professional scientific journal "Agriculture and Forestry".
Annually international, all-Ukrainian and University academic conferences are held, where lecturers and students report on their scientific, research and diploma work in sections. As a result of such events, collections of articles and scientific reports are published.
Today the Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry includes 5 departments: of Plant Growing, Crop Breeding and Bioenergy Crops; Botany, Genetics and Plant Protection; Landscape Gardening, Horticulture and Viticulture; Land Cultivation, Soil Science and Agrochemistry; of Ecology and Environmental Protection.
