Viktor Mazur

Rector of the Vinnytsia National Agrarian University

Viktor Mazur was born on January, 2, 1964 in the village of Stanylivka Pohrebyshche district Vinnytsia region.
He studied at Stanylivka eight-year school and Pohrebyshche secondary school No. 1 from 1971 to 1981.
He passed military service in the Armed Forces from 1982 to 1984.
In 1984 he entered to the Vinnytsia affiliate of Ukrainian Agricultural Academy, the Agronomy department; in 1988 he was qualified as an agronomist; he graduated with honor diploma in Agronomy. He took an active part in the life of the Vinnytsia affiliate of Order of the Labor Red Banner Agricultural Academy during the studying.
He worked as deputy chairman of feed processing on the farm "Russia" in the village of Stanylivka from February to May in 1989.
He was a postgraduate of Ukrainian Agricultural Academy, specialty Selection and Seed from 1989 to 1992; in 1994 he defended the Candidate`s thesis.
He worked as an assistant of plant growing, selection and seed department of Vinnytsia Agricultural Institute, senior lecturer, associate professor of plant growing, selection and seed department of Vinnytsia Agricultural Institute from 1992 to 1999.
He got an academic status of associate professor of plant growing, selection and seed department in May 2020.
Victor Mazur worked as a deputy rector on educational and organizational work, Head of Training department from 1999 to 2004.
He was the dean of Agronomy faculty from June 2004 to February 2015.
Victor Mazur was the Vice-Rector for Scientific-Pedagogical and Educational Work of VNAU since February 2015.
In June 2015 rector elections were appointed.
The University staff nominated Victor Mazur for the election of the rector.
Elections took place on June 16, 2015, university graduate, candidate of agricultural science, associate professor Viktor Mazur won with a score of 82%.
Viktor Mazur was awarded the Badge of Excellence in Agricultural Education and Science of the 3rd and 2nd degree and the Badge of Honor for both conscientious work and scientific achievements.
